Starter Decks

Every duelist starts with an empty collection: no deck, no duel. Your first deck comes from the STARTER DECKS tab in Glover's card shop.

The starter decks, their lists and prices may change before release.

Getting one

  • Every new duelist gets one Starter Deck Coupon. It buys any one starter for free.
  • After that, each starter costs 1,000 DP. Every starter can be bought once.
  • The bought deck is named after its starter, for example "Tidecaller Starter", and becomes your active deck if you don't have one yet.
  • Starter cards roll rarities the same way pack cards do.

The six starters

Each starter plays one classic Field Spell twice, opens that card's 3D field world in a duel, and is built from the monster types its field powers up. Each has one ace, a Polymerization with a matching Fusion Monster, simple Equip Spells and the same basic Spells and Traps.

The starters are meant as a fair start, not as finished decks: in test duels against each other, every starter wins about half of its games. The three Gate Guardian pieces are spread over Tidecaller, Skyreach and Nightfall.

Locked cards

Every card a starter brings is locked. You can play and build with it, but you can't trade it, sell it on the Astra Market or list a deck that holds it.
