In the Works
Everything on this page is already built or being built, but isn't part of the current test version yet. Expect changes before any of it arrives.
The features below are not in the game you can play today.
Observation Lounge casino
The Observation Lounge gets four games of chance, played for DP only, never real money:
- Exodia Slots: five reels with one Exodia piece each. Line up all five for the Exodia jackpot, which online is shared by everyone on the server.
- Time Wizard Roulette: bet on a color of the wheel. Online, everyone in the lounge plays the same wheel.
- ATK High-Low: the dealer turns a monster card; guess whether the next one has more or less ATK, and cash out whenever you like. The one game where card knowledge helps.
- Kuriboh Plinkoh: drop a Kuriboh through a board of pins. A golden pin splits it into several Kuribohs, each paying out on its own.
Bets run from 10 to 500 DP a round, and up to 10,000 DP a day.
Genesys format
A third deck format next to GOAT and Domain. Every card costs points from the Astra Genesys List, and a deck may spend up to 100 points. Up to 3 copies of a card, no GOAT banlist, and up to 15 cards in the Extra Deck. Online, both duelists must play the same format. Genesys tournaments are planned after that.
Card text in more languages
Card names and effects in German, French, Italian and Portuguese, switched under Esc > SETTINGS > CARD TEXT. The text changes in menus such as the Deck Builder, the binder, the card inspector, the shop and the market; the card pictures themselves and the duel's questions stay in English.
Voice control in more languages
Voice control learns German, French, Italian and Portuguese, and the game downloads the speech model (about 1.5 GB) for you the first time you switch it on.
Set Card Peek
Your own face-down cards shimmer through for a moment every few seconds, so you remember what you set, and an X-ray lens around your mouse shows their faces. Only you see your own cards; it can be switched off in the duel's options.
Quality of life
A large batch of smaller improvements, among them:
- City: your DP always in view, a queue for notifications, an Esc menu with graphics options, and EDIT CHARACTER for every duelist.
- Duels: pick your deck when you accept a duel, ATK and DEF always visible on the field, counts on every pile, playable cards glow, a battle preview on the attack arrow, a duel log (H), a duel summary at the end, skippable presentations, and a chain mode (AUTO, ASK or PASS) next to EDIT HUD in the duel's options.
- Deck Builder: double-click or Shift+click to add cards, a reason when a card can't be added, a guard against losing unsaved changes, DUPLICATE for decks, and Undo/Redo.
- Market: a confirmation for big purchases, bids and cancellations, and the sell price filled in for you.
Team base looks
New looks for your Team Base: nine platforms (from grass, sand and water to snow, lava and marble) and eight skies (from day and sunset to aurora, nebula and storm), each unlocked once for 2,500 DP and switched freely.
Cards built from layers
The team is exploring cards that the game builds from their artwork, frame and text instead of finished pictures. That would let a card show its text in your language right on the card, and let rarities shine in the Anime and Rush card styles too.
