Bounty Hunt

Win enough online duels in a row and the whole station hears about it: you are WANTED, with a bounty on your head. Whoever beats you claims it in DP. Offline, a rival carries a bounty every day too.

The bounty hunt is new and still being tested. Numbers may change before release.

Your streak​

Every online duel you win against another Discord-logged-in duelist adds to your streak, if the win counts:

  • The duel reached turn 2 and ended by a win, a surrender or the time limit.
  • Your opponent is not in your own team.
  • At most 3 counted wins a day against the same duelist, and 10 a day in all.
  • A Best of 3 counts once, when the match is over.

Tournament, Gauntlet and World Boss duels never count, and neither do duels against guests. The server counts every win itself, from the duel it ran.

Every loss ends your streak. A win over the daily limits doesn't count, but it doesn't end your streak either.

Becoming WANTED​

With 5 counted wins in a row against at least 3 different duelists you are WANTED:

  • A banner and a chat line tell everyone online: "Mai is WANTED: 200 DP". They hear about it again when your bounty reaches 500, 1,000 and 1,500 DP.
  • In the Tab player list and in the SOCIAL window you carry a red WANTED 600 DP mark.
  • While you are WANTED, every counted win pays you 50 DP for fending off a hunter.

Claiming a bounty​

Beat a WANTED duelist in a duel that counts, and the bounty is yours. The server pays it exactly once, and everyone hears "Ryo claimed the bounty on Mai: 600 DP". Their streak drops to 0.

  • You can claim one bounty a day (UTC). Beat a second WANTED duelist the same day and their streak still ends, but you get nothing for it.
  • A team mate can't claim your bounty.
  • A duel won because the other side lost their connection or didn't answer in time (the 3-minute answer clock), or one given up on turn 1, pays no bounty and doesn't count for your streak. The loser's streak still ends.

The WANTED board​

The WANTED board stands in the Astra Duel Arena, across the entrance from the ARENA TERMINAL, on your right as you come in. Its sign shows the three highest bounties and the NPC of the day, and the minimap marks it WANTED.

Press E at the board to open the WANTED list:

  • Every WANTED duelist with their team tag, streak, bounty and whether they are online, in a duel or offline.
  • CHALLENGE while one is online and free (One Duel or Best of 3, as anywhere else).
  • Your hunt: your streak, how close you are to WANTED, your counted wins today, whether you have claimed a bounty today, and your best streak.

The NPC of the day​

Every day one rival carries a bounty: KAEL, RYU, LYRA or Rocko, the same one for every duelist, also when you play offline. Your first win against them that day pays 300 DP more. The WANTED list and the board name today's rival, and the minimap marks them BOUNTY until you've beaten them. A new one comes at 00:00 UTC.

The board, the list and the news only ever show names, team tags, streaks and bounties: never a deck or a card.
